Constellations is an artistic project that creates a space of encounter between contemporary dance and jazz improvisation, between body and sound, between the individual and the collective. It is a performance practice grounded in the principle of instant composition, and it foregrounds a shared awareness of dramaturgy that unfolds organically during the performance – a dramaturgy that is not predefined but emerges from a multitude of micro-decisions, continuous listening, and relational sensitivity. This is a complex choreographic fabric that responds in real time to the question: how can we maintain inner coherence within a polyphony of expressions, practices, and artistic languages? Constellations operates as a laboratory of contemporary community, in which individual expression reveals itself only through the ability to transform and be recognized in another.

Sara Janašković is a dancer, choreographer and pedagogue from Slovenia. She studied at the Performing Arts Grammar School Ljubljana (SVŠGUGL), Performact in Portugal, and the Academy of Dance Ljubljana at Alma Mater Europaea. As a dancer, she has collaborated with artists such as Sinja Ožbolt, Žigan Krajnčan, Gašper Kunšek, Julija Matković, Kristýna Peldová, Urška Vohar, Alenka Hein, Lana Zdravković, Nenad Jelesijević, Zvezdana Novaković, Claire Hubert, Gregor Kamnikar, Neža Pele, Jaka Škapin, and others. Her choreographic work includes several solo performances, the most recent being What Happened? She has also co-created the performances Sounds Under the Skin (with Urška Centa, Anja Möderndorfer, Kristýna Peldová and Zvezdana Novaković) and Inside (with Kristýna Peldová and Jan Krmelj). Since 2024, she is the artistic director of the project Constellations.
