We celebrate twenty years of the Platform for Contemporary Dance where people meet – on the street. 

The Open Stage is a celebration of movement, creativity and community, which connects dancers from Maribor dance schools and guests from Slovenia to a common dance beat. For one day, the city space turns into a stage where different dance languages, generations and perspectives intertwine and together create a living mosaic of contemporary dance. 

This year's festival theme – connecting, cooperation and community – comes to life through the meeting of creators and audiences, art and everyday life. We believe that dance is not only intended for theaters, but also for streets, squares and random encounters. It is an invitation to openness, co-creation and belonging. 

Join us in celebrating the 20th Contemporary Dance Platform and feel the city dancing with us.
