The Seagulls Fly Early is a dance-anthropological performance by Bojana Robinson (SRB/SI) and Gyula Cserepes (SRB/HU) exploring cultural identity, belonging and the sense of home through migration. Both artists grew up in the former Yugoslavia and now live in different European countries, sharing common roots. The work asks how traditions and changing environments shape identity. Movement is based on a simple triple step and motifs from Balkan and Carpathian folk dances, which are constantly transformed. The creators combine personal experience with anthropological research based on conversations with national minorities. The research continues in each new place, connecting the performance to local contexts while crossing borders. It is a dance of transition, rooting and searching for cultural history.

Bojana Robinson is a performer and choreographer, a graduate of the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) and the Erasmus program "Dance as Integrated in Society and Humanity" (SEAD and SNDO). As a dancer, she has collaborated with various Slovenian and international choreographers, and as a choreographer she works in theatre and film projects. Her performance Mašina premiered at Cankarjev dom and later toured festivals in Slovenia and abroad.

Gyula Cserepes is a Hungarian-Serbian choreographer and performer based in Marseille. He completed his studies in contemporary dance in Budapest. As a performer, he has worked with Central Europe Dance Theatre, En-Knap Group, Cie Philippe Saire, Cie József Trefeli, HODWORKS, and Jérôme Bel. His practice connects folk and contemporary dance, exploring rhythm as a universal language and dance as a form of human connection.
