What kind of Platform do we want, and what kind do we truly need?
On the occasion of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the Platform of Contemporary Dance, we invite you to a public discussion on contemporary dance in Maribor – about conditions, needs, courage, and connections.
What should the 20th Platform of Contemporary Dance look like in order to support both local and broader formats, as well as relevant artistic practices? What parameters must it meet to attract audiences and function effectively for dancers and choreographers? What would an ideal dance platform need in order to be truly functional? How will the Maribor dance scene integrate into the national framework for the institutionalization of contemporary dance? How can we build a sustainable, visible, and inclusive dance platform? Maribor has a history of contemporary dance – but what future?
So many questions – and even more guests.
